Sports Day

On Monday 13th July we had our Sports Day, Blossom Class and Acorn Class joined together to take part in eight different activities, we worked in teams to get as many points as we could. We had a fabulous time, here are some of our favourite things about Sports Day…

Logan – ‘I really like doing the egg and spoon race, I balanced the egg and ran, it fell off, I picked it up again then walked because I was close to the end.’

Sophie – ‘I liked the egg and spoon race best because I came first, I was the winner.’

Maisy – ‘I enjoyed the egg and spoon race best, I came second, I got a sticker.’

Liam – ‘I loved running because I am the fastest and I can be the winner.’

Daisy – ‘I liked the running best because I went super fast.’

Hadyn – ‘I liked the javelin bacause I came first.’

Oscar B – ‘I liked the running and sack race.’

George – ‘I liked the egg and spoon race best because I ran and twice times fell over.’

Kacie – ‘I liked the javelin best because I threw it a long way.’

Keisha – ‘My Mummy and Daddy and Cousins came to watch me at Sports Day, I had fun letting them watch us.’

Ashton – ‘My MUm came and watched me, I liked the running best, I skidded.’

Archie – ‘When I was running I fell over, it was funny.’

Jack – ‘I liked the javelin best, I throwed it a bit far.’

Ellie – ‘I liked the running race because I nearly won.’

 

 

Father’s Day

We made Father’s Day cards and wrote about our Daddies, we thought about all the things we like about them…

The Little Boat…

We watched a short film about a little boat that sailed across the sea and had lots of adventures… We had a go at writing our own stories, Sophie, Luke and Harry worked really hard on theirs, we hope you like them…

Our favourite parts of Master Laurence’s visit…

We really enjoyed the visit from Master Laurence and learned lots of things, here are some of the things we enjoyed…

Liam – ‘The best part was when Master Laurence told us about the men shooting the arrows on one of their adventures.’

Alex – ‘I liked looking at the things that Master Laurence brought with him that he used on his travels especially the sand timer.’

George – ‘I liked learning about all the treasure the sailors stole.’

Daisy – ‘I really enjoyed the part about the sailors shooting their arrows on the beach.’

Hadyn – ‘I liked the part when Archie pretended to steal Sir Francis Drake’s hat’

Sophie – ‘I really enjoyed the part whe Master Laurence told us about the man who had his head chopped off!’

Maisie – ‘I really enjoyed it when people were trying to tie the different knots, they were really hard to do.’

Master Laurence Elliot…

We were really lucky on Tuesday 9th June in Blossom and Oak Class to have a very special visitor – Master Laurence Elliot who sails with Sir Francis Drake. He had taken a break from his adventures sailing around the world to come and see us.

A pirate left us a treasure map which took us on an adventure around our school field.
